Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE) is looking to recruit 5 Project Associates for a large socio-economic household survey in Nilgiris and Waynad. The survey will cover a large sample of households spread with Sentinel Landscape Assessment Framework. Village and Household survey need to be done to collect baseline information about livelihoods, land health in forested landscapes, which have been exposed to various forms of land-use change.

The candidates should have
1) Masters in Economics/Environmental Economics/Botany/Forestry/Sociology/Social Work/Agriculture.
2) Excellent working knowledge of Tamil for Nilgiris and Malayalam for Waynad work, and knowledge of English.
3) Prior experience in administering questionnaires and conducting household surveys is desirable.
Candidates with only Bachelor’s degree but substantial field experience can also be considered.
The duration of the employment is 4-5 months.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
