We are looking for a field ecologist to work on a project on epiphytes, arthropod assemblages and pollination systems in forest canopies of the Nilgiris.
The candidate must be a post-graduate in Ecology/ Botany/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Wildlife Biology and have an inclination to study plants as well as insects.
He/she must possess a scientifically curious mind, be physically fit, and possess basic field biology skills, and be able to live and work in remote conditions at forest sites for extended periods of time.
He/she must be capable of working independently but must also be willing to work in teams of diverse nature – both scientific and local community level. Inter-personal skills will be advantageous to manage and work with field assistants from different cultural backgrounds.
Remuneration will be at par with JRF scales.
