The news for the hard, but fast earning job is being spread nowadays through the Croatian media, for which you don’t need to have knowledge of German language. You only need to have a good physical condition and enough free days for temporary job. As “Free Dalmatia” reports, this job is for harvesting asparagus in Germany with a daily salary that can reach up to €150, pause for lunch and Sunday is free. The seasonal job for asparagus harvest lasts from these days up to June (in the asparagus season). Besides the fast and good salary as an advantage, a disadvantage would be that you have to be constantly crooked, it is also a very hard, repetitive manual job and there are tough climate conditions – like hot weather and working in mud. Jasminka Lemo, the president of the Society for unemployed people in the Split-Dalmatian region recommends that this type of job is not a permanent solution. “I totally and completely understand the people that seek for job, desperate, unemployed and people in debts, not only from Croatia, but from the whole Balkan region. They are considering the seasonal job in a foreign country, but we, and probably themselves also don’t take this as a permanent solution.
